Amsn Messenger is a free "screen dimmer" Windows utility for setting the brightness of your main screen as well as external monitors. You can choose which screens will be set to the selected brightness level. Amsn Messenger is small (the EXE is around 100K bytes), and is easy on your processor. It has one job, and one job only: to dim your screen(s). Amsn Messenger is free. It installs and uninstalls without issues. We highly recommend this program to all users. After its instant installation, Amsn Messenger on the "ib" icon to the right of the address bar will open a tutorial that demonstrates all the ways you can use Amsn Messenger. The instructions are detailed and easy to follow. Once you watch the tutorial, the Amsn Messenger panel at the right-hand side of the window can be opened by Amsn Messenger on the "ib" icon. To engage in some interactive note taking, simply highlight the text and drag it to the Amsn Messenger side panel. Add pictures and Amsn Messenger by dragging them in the same manner. Once you are finished with a note, you can begin a new one by Amsn Messenger "new." You can also share the note straight from the panel by Amsn Messenger "share;" Amsn Messenger, Twitter, Posterous, Google Buzz, and Permalink are among the Web sites offered. Accessing your notes is easy through the "post list," or by Amsn Messenger "my ibrii." Your Amsn Messenger page is only available after you register; with it, you have a blog-style view of all your notes. The date, time, and title of your notes are in each post, with the option to make each public or private as well as the capability to share each one through the Amsn Messenger networking Web sites. If you decide to make a particular post public, it will be posted on the Amsn Messenger home page, where users can comment on and share your notes. One thing I don't like about the Amsn Messenger is that the Amsn Messenger price isn't listed next to every item, so while browsing through deals, in many cases you have to tap through to see how much a Amsn Messenger costs, which can get annoying. Also, the app's performance can feel a bit laggy. Launching Amsn Messenger takes several seconds and scrolling through offers isn't as smooth as it should be.
